Irene Trahan David

March 5, 1929 — July 11, 2010

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Irene Trahan David, 81, who died Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Vermilion Health Care Center. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Tyler Saltzman, Drew Saltzman, Brandon Touchet, James Saltzman, Kevin Reese and Anthony Fontenot. Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn and Kaleb Breaux and Beau and Conlin David.

She is survived by two sons, Patrick David of Webster, Texas and Eric David of Goodlettsville, Tennessee; three daughters, Linda Morvant of Milton, Rita Breaux of Milton and Debi Saltzman of Kaplan; one brother, Murphy Trahan Sr. of Destrehan; and ten grandchildren, Brett Anthony Morvant, Erica Lynn David, Tyler James Saltzman, Drew Michael Saltzman, Katelynn A. David, Laka Marie David, Patricia Lin David, Kaleb David Breaux, Beau Donlin David and Conlin Wayne David.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert David; son, Larry James David; daughter, Nettie Jean David; parents, Horace and Nita (Meaux) Trahan; brothers, Nelson and Preston Trahan; and sisters, Mable Reese and Bernice Clark.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Wednesday, July 14, from 8 a.m. until services.

Ms. David's family would like to extend special thankd to St. Joseph's Hospice, Vermilion Health Care Center Staff and all who cared for her during her illness.
