Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Ronald P. Broussard, 66, who died Monday, July 12, 2010 at Regional Medical Center of Acadiana. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Brad Guillory officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Betty LeBlanc Broussard of Erath; daughter, Annette Broussard of Erath; two sons, Chris Broussard and fiancée, Tori Babineaux of Delcambre and Gary Broussard of Erath; five grandchildren, Kristie Cordova Fremin and husband, David Fremin Jr. of New Iberia, Brock Moreno and wife, Ellen Moreno of Duson, Zachary Moreno and friend, Kristen Hebert of Erath, Ross Broussard of Delcambre and Brayden Broussard of Erath; one great granddaughter, Sieghan Fremin; sister, Deanna Broussard and companion, Patsy Delahoussaye of New Iberia; brother, Paul Broussard and wife, Ann of Erath; mother-in-law, Gerdie LeBlanc of Kaplan; four sisters-in-law, Ruby Lemaire and husband, Donald of Kaplan, Helen Richoux and husband, Ray of Kaplan, Judy Trahan and husband, Mike of Abbeville and Mary Harrington and husband, Randall of Kaplan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Ida Suire Broussard; sister, Janelle Broussard; and brother, Morris Frederick.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m. and will resume Thursday, July 15, from 10 a.m. until services.
