William "Will" Charles Summers

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Monday, July 19, 2010 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Catholic Church honoring the life of William Charles Summers, 55, who died Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Ochsner Medical Center.

He will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Father Emmanuel Fernandez officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda S. Summers of Abbeville; two stepdaughters, Jennifer Pommier of Forked Island and Kayler Handcock of Kaplan; two stepgrandchildren, Emma Pommier of Forked Island and Lane Handcock of Kaplan; mother, Beverly Miller Summers of Abbeville; three brothers, Frank W. Summers II of Abbeville, Preston M. Summers of Abbeville and Clay James Summers of Charlotteville, VA; and two sisters, Susan P. Summers of Abbeville and Beverly "Missi" M. Summers Smith of San Antonio, TX.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank W. Summers, Sr.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, July 18, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Monday, July 19, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
