Doris Lee Menard

March 1, 1936 — October 19, 2006

ABBEVILLE- Funeral services will be held Friday, October 20, 2006 at a 2:00 p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Theresa Catholic Church honoring the life of Doris Lee Menard, 70, who died October 19, 2006 at his residence.
He will be laid to rest at Banker Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services.
The family would like to thank LA Hospice & Palliative Care for their care and compassion.
He is survived by two sons, Norris Menard of Abbeville and Erwin Menard of Winnie, Texas; one daughter, Lisa Henry of Abbeville; three step sons, Billy Hanks of Butte La Rose, Richard Hanks of Crowley and Darryl Hanks of Crowley; one step daughter, Gwen Hanks of Abbeville; one brother, Darrel Menard of Abbeville; one sister, Ruby Thibodeaux of Baton Rouge; seventeen grandchildren; and twenty-five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elix and Elite Vincent Menard; his wives, the former Theresa Marie Trahan and Gloria Jean Harrington; and one brother, Norris Menard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South St. Charles, Abbeville, Thursday, October 19th from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Friday, October 20th from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
