Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John Catholic Church honoring the life of Elaine Dale Tapkenhinrichs Chauvin, 69, who died Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Regional Medical Center of Acadiana.

She will be laid to rest at Bancker Cemetery with Reverend Greg Chauvin officiating the services.

She is survived by her husband, Patrick J. Chauvin of Henry, two sons, Joseph Huey Duhon, Jr. of New Iberia and Michael James Duhon of Henry and one grandchild, Clayton D. Duhon.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Richard Tapkenhinrichs and her mother, Roberta Mae Keuhling Tapkenhinrichs.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Wednesday, August 4, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
