Louis Broussard

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Louis Broussard, 78, who died Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Kendal Faulk officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Delores B. Broussard of Kaplan; one stepson, Randy Schexnayder and his wife, Judy of Kaplan; four stepdaughters, Karen Sonnier of Kaplan, Lisa and her husband, Doug Isaacs of Duson, Jolene Schexnayder of Kaplan, and Dana and her husband, Shelton Gary of Kaplan; three brothers, Diones Broussard of Maurice and Paul and Norman Leo Broussard, both of Kaplan; two sisters, Mary Ann Dupuis of Lafayette and Rose Mae Baudoin of Kaplan; sixteen step-grandchildren; and three step-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hebrard Broussard and the former Delusca Abshire; one brother, Camile Broussard; two sisters, Lizzie Mae Cormier and Shirley Feverjean; and one stepson-in-law, Randal Sonnier.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Wednesday August 11, 2010 from 8 a.m. until services.
