Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Leo D. Trahan, 69, who died Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carol B. Trahan of Kaplan; one daughter, Tina and her husband, Buddy Vincent of Kaplan; two grandsons, Lance Vincent of Kaplan and Lucas Vincent and his wife, Jenna of Maurice; one great granddaughter, Evelyn Claire Vincent of Maurice; and four brothers, Perlis Trahan and his wife, Myrtis of Kaplan, Ritter Trahan and his companion, Mary Joyce of Kaplan, Dr. Marion Trahan and his wife, Shelia of Baton Rouge and Lyman Trahan and his wife, Karen of Kaplan; and one sister, Della and her husband C.J. Schexnider of Breaux Bridge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Opha and Lula Trahan.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Wednesday, from 9 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
