Thear "Ya Ya" Joseph Trahan

He will be laid to rest at St. Alphonsus Cemetery with Reverend Joseph Breaux officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Rendell Trahan, Damon Trahan, Riley Landry, Thomas Duhon, Matt Landry and Jarrod Broussard. Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Landry and Patrick Lege.
He is survived by one son, Paul Donald Trahan of Maurice; one daughter, Lee Anna Trahan Landry of Abbeville; daughter-in-law, Elva Jane Hebert of Abbeville; one sister, Mrs. Minois (Bella Trahan)Duhon of Maurice; four grandsons, Riley James Landry of Maurice, Curney Joseph Landry, Damon J. Trahan and his wife Katrina of Maurice and Rendell L. Trahan of Maurice; six great granddaughters, Amber Landry of Abbeville, Danielle Lege and her husband Patrick "P.J." of Maurice, Kristy, Kayla and Paige Trahan of Maurice and Lani Trahan of Maurice; three great grandsons, Matt and Eric Landry of Abbeville and Jarrod Broussard and his wife Joni of Youngsville; and one great great grandson, Remmi Andre' Broussard of Youngsville.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 80 years, Agnes Abshire Trahan; one son, John Leeward Trahan; one granddaughter, Linda Gail Landry; son-in-law, Dudless E. Landry; father, Nicholas Trahan; mother, Alecia Racca Trahan and step mother, Victoria T. Trahan.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Thursday, August 19, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Friday, August 20, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
