Mary Shirley Gremillion

She will be laid to rest at St. James Cemetery with Fr. Kendal Faulk officiating the services. Pallbearers will be H.A. Gremillion, Jr., Shawn Sagrera, Kimble Sagrera, Chuck Hazelton, Lynn Sagrera and Dustin Guidry. Honorary pallbearer will be Tommy Hazelton.
Mrs. Gremillion received the lifetime achievment award with 4-H. She was a member of several organizations including, Vermilion Parish Tourist Commission, Vermilion Parish Cattle Womens Association and a member of the St. James Ladies Alter Socity.
She is survived by by her three sons, Scott Anthony Gremillion of Abbeville, Lane Joseph Gremillion and his wife Katherine of Abbeville and Guy Isaac Gremillion and wife Leslie of Baton Rouge; one daughter, Allison Vuljoin and her husband Steve of Baton Rouge; one brother, Austin Sagrera and his wife Waveel of Abbeville; one sister, Hilda Choate of Abbeville; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Gremilion, Dustin Guidry, Derek Guidry, Patrick Vuljoin, Andrew Vuljoin, Jackson Gremillion and Emma Grace Gremillion; and two great grandchildren, Jacob Guidry and Maddox Guidry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Gremillion; a daughter, Denyse Gremillion; father, Isaac Sagrera; mother, Cecile Trahan Sagrera; two brothers, Nelson Sagrera and George Sagrera.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Monday, August 30, 2010 from 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m., the funeral home will reopen on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Vermilion Parish 4-H foundation or Mount Carmel Elementary School.
