Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 4, 2010 at an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Chapel honoring the life of Joseph Stafford Boudreaux, 72, who died Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Alva C. Boudreaux of Kaplan, LA; three daughters, Charissa B. Hebert and her husband, Ronald of Maurice, LA, Rachel B. Romero and her husband, Collins of Sasebo, Japan, and Julitta M. Boudreaux of Kaplan, LA; two sons, Mark J. Boudreaux and Glenn E. Boudreaux, both of Kaplan, LA; his eleven grandchildren, LaCresha B. Plowden, Dori H. Cousin, Dasha Romero, Rory A. Godfrey Sr., Lori Brooke Hebert, Beyonka Boudreaux, Blake Romero, Gavin Boudreaux, Darion Romero, Kelsey Boudreaux and Sydnee Boudreaux; eight great grandchildren; his siblings, Theresa B. Guidry and Keuhlin Boudreaux, both of Kaplan, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cullen and Hattie Boudreaux; three sisters, Mary Louelva Boudreaux, Luelvia "Ella" Boudreaux and Diane B. Turner; and one nephew, Thaddeus Boudreaux.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Saturday, September 4, 2010 from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. with a rosary being prayed at 9 a.m.
