He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Shirley Mire Schexnider of Kaplan; one son, Lenwood "Lane" Schexnider and his wife Betty of Lafayette; two daughters, Sally and her husband Thomas Campbell of Kaplan, Linda "Porkie" and her husband Marshall Hebert of Forked Island; two sisters, Aline Dronet of Kaplan and Florence "Flo" Vincent of Kaplan; seven grandchildren, Bart Campbell, Lance Campbell and his wife Leslie, Jamie Scott, Quinn Schexnider, Tami Schexnider, Marty Hebert and his wife Angel, Marchell and her husband Marcus Abshire and eleven great grandchildren, Bailey and Blair Hebert, Lauren Theroit, Mallory, Grant and Anna Claire Campbell, Austin and Jaida Abshire, Abilgail and Saul Scott and Calab Schexnider; one nephew, Kenneth Vincent and his wife Virginia; two nieces, Betty Dronet and Verlin and her husband Larkin Marceaux; two great nephews, Eric Marceaux and his wife Allison and Ryan Vincent and one great niece, Monica and her husband Nick Matthew.
He was preceded in death by his parents Bernard Schexnider and the former Erita Harrington, one brother, Duplex Langlinais.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, September 5, 2010 from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 6:30 p.m.; Monday, September 06, from 8 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
