Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Monday, September 6, 2010 at a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Maxie Vincent, 81, who died Sunday, September 5, 2010 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Lilly Abshire Vincent of Kaplan; three daughters, Linda and her husband Howard Stevens of Kaplan, Charlene and her husband Milton Mire of Kaplan and Janet Hebert of Kaplan; one son-in-law, Johnny Hebert of Kaplan; one sister, Vernice Vincent and her husband Leo Harrington of Kaplan; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren and one step great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Duplesie Vincent and the former Louise Boudreaux, two brothers, Wildes and Darice Vincent.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, September 5, 2010 from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m.; Monday, September 06, from 8 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church
