Laress "Blue" Landry

April 12, 1926 — September 5, 2010

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Laress Louis Landry, 84, who died Sunday, September 5, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He will be laid to rest at Leroy Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Fadra Broussard Landry of Kaplan; one son, Dr. Philip Landry and his wife Kim of Opelousas; three daughters, Amy Landry of Kaplan, Diane L. Davis and her husband John Davis of St. Petersburg, FL and Anna L. Meaux and her husband Boyd Meaux of Lafayette; five grandsons, Eaves Landry and his wife Cindy of Lafayette, Andy and Chris Davis of St. Petersburg, FL and Matthew and Zachary Meaux of Lafayette; one grandaughter, Elizabeth L. Holmes and her husband Alex Holmes of Colorado; and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elix Landry and Maureen Comeaux Landry; five brothers; five sisters; and one grandaughter Melanie Louise Landry.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 from 10 a.m. until services.
