Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 9, 2010 at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Mary Louise Hebert Landry, 77, who died Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Msgr. Ron Broussard officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Rusty Hargrave, Johnnie Theall, Chuckie Theall, Brent Landry, Ryan Hargrave and Brian Hebert. Honorary pallbearers will be Brett Landry and Shay Hargrave.

Ms. Landry worked for the Tri-Parish Headstart program as a social worker in the centers for 36 years. She was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and she was a volunteer with the Foodnet program, where she delivered food to shut-ins. Ms. Louise enjoyed life. She enjoyed dancing, playing pokeno and going to the casino although her main enjoyment was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, James R. Landry Jr. of Abbeville; four daughters, Jennifer L. Ardoin and her husband, Danny of Moss Bluff, Cyndi Landry of Kaplan, Tina L. Theall of Kaplan and Alita L. Broussard and her husband, T.J. of Kaplan; one brother, Murcy Hebert of Kaplan; one sister, Dorothy Hebert of Westlake; thirteen grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gladu Hebert and the former Edith LaPointe; her husband, James R. Landry Sr; and her brothers, Stanley and Lloyd Hebert.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Thursday, September 9, from 8 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. when the procession departs for the church.
