Neomie S. Touchet

March 16, 1911 — September 11, 2010

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 13, 2010 at Vincent Funeral Home -Kaplan honoring the life of Neomie Schexnider Touchet, 99, who died Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Kaplan Healthcare Center. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Deacon Paul Roy Eleazar officiating the services.

She is survived by her two sons, Dalton Touchet and his wife, Gladys of Kaplan and Elton Touchet and his wife, Ouida of New Iberia; two brothers, Savie Schexnider and Levi J. Schexnider, both of Kaplan; one sister, Onite S. Meaux of Kaplan; and four grandchildren, Cheryle Touchet Guillet and her husband, Glen of Beaumont,Texas, Ronnie Touchet of Kaplan, Bobby Touchet of Alabama and Johnny Touchet of Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her son, Louis J. Touchet; two brothers, Sabry and Odelon Schexnider; four sisters, Elvena S. Baudoin, Elia S. Fontenot, Ella S. Hebert and Jane S. Gaspard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, September 12, 2010 from 12 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Monday, September 13, from 8 a.m. until services.
