Pecan Island—Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at a 3 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Catholic Church honoring the life of Monica White, 43, who died Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at LTAC of Louisiana - Abbeville Campus. She will be laid to rest at the Pecan Island Community Cemetery with Reverend Keith Landry officiating the services.

She is survived by her parents, Suzanne and Ivan Vaughn of Pecan Island; her maternal grandmother, Alverda "Tut" Bourque of Pecan Island; one daughter, Lauren Koch Duhon and her husband, Wes of Leesville; three sisters, Vicki Sagrera of Abbeville, Nichole Robyn Nunez and her husband, Scott of Creole and Crystal Mhire and her husband, Joe of Pecan Island; one grandson, Aiden Duhon of Leesville; one godchild, Collin Sagrera; and two nephews, Trever Nunez and Noah Mhire.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Alvin "T-Al" Joseph Bourque; and her aunt, Loraine Bourque.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 from 3 p.m. until services on Wednesday, September 22, 2010. A rosary be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
