Willis Demette

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 27, 2010 at Vincent Funeral Home -Kaplan honoring the life of Willis Demette, 78, who died Friday, September 24, 2010 at the Alexandria VA Medical Center. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services.

He is survived by his daughter, Joyce and her husband, Daniel "Shamo" Campbell of Kaplan; two brothers, Arthur Morvant of Lafayette and Albert "Boo-Boo" Demette Jr. of Kaplan; two sisters, Annie Mae Dugas of Erath and Ruby and her husband, Chris Harrington of Forked Island; three grandchildren, Philip Campbell and his wife, Kristi of Kaplan, Charlotte Campbell of Kaplan, and Andrea and her husband, Ryan Richard of Lyons Point; and two great grandchildren, Emily Campbell and Kelsey Campbell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Demette and the former Wilda Bourque; and one daughter, Brenda Demette.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, September 26, 2010 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Monday, September 27, from 8 a.m. until time of services.
