Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Mary Lou Veazey Bourque, 63, who died Sunday, October 3, 2010 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Suire Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Norman Wilmer Bourque of Pecan Island; two sons, Joey D. Bourque and Norman Bourque, both of Kaplan; three daughters, Amanda Gannard of Butte La Rose, Jessica Bourque of Abbeville and Tasha Hargrave of Cow Island; two brothers, John Claudius Veazey of New Iberia and Roger Dale Veazey of Oklahoma; one sister, Gloria Jean Veazey LeBlanc of Carencro; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude Veazey and the former Lucy Hebert; two daughters, Norma and Bonnie Bourque; and one grandaughter, Kasey Bourque.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 from 8 a.m. until services with a rosary being prayed at 10 a.m.
