Roberta Leblanc Touchet

March 7, 1921 — October 5, 2010

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 7, 2010 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Roberta LeBlanc Touchet, 89, who died Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Eastridge Nursing Center.
She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services.

Pallbearers will be Sergeant Jade Patrick Songne, Karl Michael Songne, Timothy Beau Barras, Glynn Mayard, Joey Songne and Ray Barras.

Roberta will always be remembered for her cooking and baking for family and friends. She loved caring and helping raise young children. And always saw and enjoyed the beauty of God's creation around her as was evident by her green thumb.

She is survived by two daughters, Jane Barras and her husband Ray and Ginger Songne and her husband Joey all of Abbeville; a brother, Natty LeBlanc of Livingston TX; five grandchildren, Lieutenant Colonel William Paul Barras and his wife Theresa, Kristin Marie Barras, Timothy Beau Barras and his wife Leah, Sergeant Jade Patrick Songne, Karl Michael Songne; three great grandchildren, Cody G. Barras, Frederick A. Barras and Grant L. Barras.

She was preceded in death by her husband,Paul D. Touchet; parents, Stelly John LeBlanc and the former Eunice Hardy .

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m.; Thursday, October 7, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
