"T-Black" Lovelace Campbell Sr.

August 19, 1934 — October 8, 2010

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 9, 2010 at a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anne Catholic Church honoring the life of Lovelace "T-Black" Campbell Sr., 76, who died Friday, October 8, 2010 at Abbeville General Hospital. He will be laid to rest at St. Anne Cemetery with Reverend Keith Landry officiating the services.

Mr. Campbell was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a tugboat captain and he enjoyed crawfishing.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marguerite Harrington Campbell of Kaplan; one son, Lovelace Campbell Jr. and his wife, Dianna of Kaplan; one daughter, Lilly Campbell of Abbeville; one stepson, Roland James LaFleur and his wife, Judy of Kaplan; one stepdaughter, Bonnie and her husband, Jose Gutierrez; two brothers, Wesley Campbell and his wife, Martha and Douglas J. Campbell and his wife, Susan, all of Abbeville; one sister, Mary and her husband, Daniel Henry of Crowley; nine grandchildren, Christal Conner, Karen Price, Kayla Cawyer, Shori White, Jarrod Johnson, Curtis Campbell, Brandon Campbell, Kayla Redmond and Braxton Cessac; and fourteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cornelius Campbell and the former Eulalie Ryder.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, October 8, 2010 from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Saturday, October 9, from 8 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
