Pervis Joseph Broussard

August 10, 1932 — October 16, 2010

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Monday, October 18, 2010 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Pervis Joseph Broussard, 78, who died Saturday, October 16, 2010 at his residence.

He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Mire Broussard; two sons, Curvis Broussard and Carl Wayne Broussard and wife Debbie; one daughter, Barbara Gayle Plummer and husband Dennis M., all of Abbeville; two brothers, Pierre Elwood Broussard of Pineville and Loicie Broussard of Abbeville; twelve grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Adia Broussard; mother, Oneilia Guidry Broussard; grandchild, Jody Broussard; brothers, Alvin and Raymond Broussard and a daughter-in-law, Linda Hollier Broussard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, October 17, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. and Monday from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
