She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon Randy Hyde officiating the services.
Karla was a 1998 graduate of University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She had been employed by Beta Technology of Houston since 1999 as a sales representative.
She is survived by her husband, Jay Clothier of Lafayette; her mother, Vickie P. Thompson of Kaplan; father, Aubrey Thompson, Sr.; step father, Louissy J. "Podnuh" Romero of Kaplan; step son, Logan Clothier of Lafayette; father-in-law, Jack Clothier of Lafayette; three step brothers, Aubrey Thompson, Jr., Joel Romero and family, Peggy, Austin and Brook Romero, and Jonathon Romero and family, Dana and Alex Romero; one step sister, Jennifer Romero and family, Tim and Lily Faul; aunt Gloria and uncle Louis Ramke and their four children, Steven Ramke, Sr., Scott Ramke, Sean Ramke, Samantha Sonnier and their families; brother-in-law, Don Clothier of Lafayette; and sister-in-law, Chyrl Clothier of Lafayette.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Oreste and Mary Pelletier; paternal grandparents, Bud and Freida Thompson; and her mother-in-law, Shirley Clothier.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Thursday, October 21, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
