Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 25, 2010 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Eula Mae Brasseaux, 96, who died Friday, October 22, 2010 at Maison du Monde Living Center.
She will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery with Fr. Kendal Faulk officiating the services. Pallbearers include her nephews.
Miss Brasseaux was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and great aunt. Aunt “Tut” was a home maker and caregiver all of her life, she spent her adult live caring for her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Watkins “Mac” and Beulah McDugle.
She is survived by her sister, Walda B. Raguer of Henry; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Theogene Brasseaux and the former Dora Harrington; one brother, Donald J. Brasseaux; two sisters, Elsie B. Nicks and Lois B. Mayard; aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Watkins “Mac” and Beulah McDugle; a special niece, Melissa Baudoin and godchild, Ronnie Mayard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, October 24, 2010 from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. The family will reopen on Monday, October 25, 2010, from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
The family would like to thank the staff of Maison Du Monde and Dr. Ronald Lahasky for their care and compassion. They would also like to thank her special friends Mary Ann Moore, Stella Vice, Delta Trahan and Cindy Landry.
