Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Annie Mae Abshire, 76, who died Friday, October 29, 2010 at Kaplan Healthcare Center. She will be laid to rest at Abshire Cemetery with Reverend Noah Langley officiating the services.

She is survived by four sons, Minus Abshire of Lake Arthur, Alvin Abshire of Cow Island, Calvin Abshire of Forked Island and David Abshire of Kaplan; four daughters, Barbara Frederick of Kaplan, Linda Lormand of Kaplan, Dorothy Abshire of Cow Island and Shirley Abshire of Henry; twenty-five grandchildren; and twenty-five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Abshire; and parents, Oben Hargrave and the former Melina Touchet.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, October 29, 2010 from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m.; Saturday, October 30, from 8 a.m. until services.
