Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 30, 2010 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Elus Hargrave Roy, 99, who died Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital.

She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Quinton Touchet, Daniel LeBlanc, Dustin Langlinais, Joseph "Joey" Pervis Roy, Jr., Joseph "Joey" Pervis Roy, III and Waylan Hebert.

She is survived by six grandchildren, Jay Langlinais, Donna Langlinais, Troyanne Hebert Roger, Joseph "Joey" Pervis Roy, Jr., Sheila Broussard and Sherrie Jolie; eighteen great grandchildren; twenty great grand grandchildren; one sister, Olita "Meon" Frederick; and one son-in-law, Daniel Hebert.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Roy; one son, Joseph Pervis Roy, Sr.; two daughters, Hazel Hebert and Gloriann Langlinais; one grandson, Kendall Hebert; numerous sisters; and one son-in-law, Harris "Boone" Langlinais.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, October 29, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. and will remain open until time of services on Saturday, October 30, 2010. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening.
