Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Mary LeMaire Dartez, 83, who passed on Sunday, October 31, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at her residence in Lake Charles, Louisiana, with her loving family at her bedside.
She will be laid to rest at St. Alphonsus Cemetery with Father Scott DesOrmeaux officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Jason Nickel, Justin Nickel, David LeMaire, Phillip LeMaire, Sammy Theriot and Lenny Dartez. Honorary pallbearer will be Roland "Prof"

Bea was retired from Bell South's Engineering Department in 1974 after 26 years of service. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
She was an avid supporter of every Catholic church she belonged to, at the time of her
death she was head usher and greeter at St. Margaret Catholic Church and an active usher and greeter at Saturday 4:00 pm mass and 8:30 am at Sunday mass.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert "Lee" Dartez; two daughters, Phyllis Nickel and her husband Jack E. Nickel of Crowley, Louisiana and Pamela "Baby Sue" January of Lake Charles; two grandchildren, Jason Robert and Justin Thomas Nickel of Crowley, Louisiana; four brothers, Phillip "Eric" LeMaire and his wife Sonia, Thomas "Autry" Lemaire and his wife, Barbara of Grand Lake, Carrol LeMaire and his wife Frances of Big Pasture and Burton "Boo" LeMaire of Forked Island.
She was preceded in death by parents, Phillip LeMaire and Odit Neugebauer.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Monday, November 1, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Tuesday, November 2, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
