Leona S. Hardy

August 9, 1931 — October 31, 2010

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Leona Savoy Hardy, 79, who died Sunday, October 31, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Breaux Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.

She is survived by her six sons, Kenneth R. Hardy of Kaplan, Dale Hardy of Lake Charles, Glyn Hardy and his wife, Ann of Abbeville, Keith Hardy and his wife, Karen of Kaplan, Steve Hardy of Abbeville and Timmy and his wife, Michelle of Leroy; two daughters, Lisa A. Hardy of Maurice and Annette LeLeux of Kaplan; two brothers, Aubrey Savoy Jr. and Robert Savoy, both of Abbeville; 15 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hardy; her parents, Aubrey Savoy and the former Adella Frederick; her daughter, Maxine Howell; and her brother, Rodney Savoy.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Wednesday, November 3, from 8 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
