Olive Marie Dubois O'Bryan

Mrs. O'Bryan was born on July 5, 1920 in Abbeville, LA. She was a native of Abbeville for 36 years and had lived in Lake Charles for the past 54 years. She was a devoted housewife and mother. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Lake Charles, LA. In her early motherhood years, she was active in many civic organizations and was president of the PTA in Abbeville, LA.
She is survived by four sons, Alexander Carl O'Bryan Jr. of Lake Charles, LA, John Glenn O'Bryan of Shreveport, LA, Robert Elwood O'Bryan of League City, TX, and Dr. David Reed O'Bryan of Tallahassee, FL; one daughter, Alice Virginia O'Bryan of Lake Charles, LA; grandchildren, Devin Scott O'Bryan of Savannah, GA and Mara Trace Alexander of Shreveport, LA, Robert Elwood O'Bryan III of Katy, TX, Kari Leigh O'Bryan and Kenna Alison O'Bryan of Texas City, TX, and Nicholas Patrick O'Bryan, John Paul O'Bryan, and Olivia Grace O'Bryan of Tallahassee, FL.; and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alexander "Alex" Carl O'Bryan Sr; parents, Jean Pierre DuBois and Olive Marie Meyers; four brothers, Leonce DuBois, Destier Dubois, Rene' DuBois Sr. and Clesmae S. DuBois; and two sisters, Olivia DuBois and Marie Olita DuBois .
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, November 12, 2010 from 3:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.; Saturday, November 13, 2010 from 8:00 until time of service.
