She is survived by three sons, Corwin Broussard and wife, Kim Viator Broussard of Lafayette, Harold Broussard and wife, Faith of Livingston and Terry Broussard of Kaplan; one daughter, Jackie Broussard of Kaplan; fourteen grandchildren, Bryan Broussard of Pecan Island, Gregory Broussard and wife, Bonnie of Meridian, Idaho, Sheila Broussard of Abbeville, Brady Broussard and wife, Teri of Lafayette, Trisha Broussard and husband, Gerard Alsandor of Marietta, Georgia, Kern Broussard and wife, Stephany of Baton Rouge, Matt Broussard and wife, Tawayna of Lafayette, Cody Broussard and wife, Betsy of Kaplan, Rixey Broussard and wife, Wendy of Cow Island, Lynnette Istre of Mission, South Dakota, Chad Istre and wife, Damitri of Meaux, and Joshua, Tre and Tyson Broussard of Kaplan; three brothers, Drozan "Bye" Suire and wife, Lena, Clemille Suire, and Roy Suire and wife, Mary, all of Crowley; twenty-two great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kirby Lynn Broussard; parents, Ophelias Suire Jr. and Nedia Bourque Suire; one son, L.G. Broussard; one grandson, Andy Broussard; three brothers, Olan Suire (died during WWII), Marcel Suire and an infant brother, Minos Joseph Suire; her twin sister, Estelle Stevens; and her daughter-in-law, Shelia Broussard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, November 26, 2010 from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m.; Saturday, November 27, from 8 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
