Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 10, 2006, at Vincent Funeral Home for Adam Floyd Devillier, 80, of Kenner, who died Friday, December 9, 2006, at a River Ridge Hospital. Interment will follow in the Mary Mausoleum in Abbeville. The Deacon Chris Mouton will celebrate the funeral service and conduct the graveside services. Mr. Devillier is retired from the U.S. Coast Guard and the food and drug Administration. He was also a General Service Contractor. He is survived by his wife, Nubia Chavez Montoya Devillier; five brothers, John Lincoln Devillier of Carrolton, GA, John Devillier of Las Vegas, NV, Joseph Claude Devillier of Castro Valley, CA, Albert Berchman Devillier of Opelousas and James Richard of Houston, TX; two sisters, Gertrude Beryl Fontenot of Opelousas and Rebecca Jane Sylvester also of Opelousas; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam Cleveland and Elizabeth Wyble Devillier, two brothers, Leon Fabian Devillier and Leo Sherman Devillier; three sisters, Myrtle D. Daspit, Anna Lee Vidrine and Shirley D. Sprotti; and his first wife Jo Frederick. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of services Sunday, December 10, 2006.
