Mary A. Landry Allain

February 2, 1920 — December 10, 2006

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2006, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church for Mary Allain, 86, of Abbeville, who died Sunday, December 10, 2006, at Abbeville General Hospital.
Interment will follow in the St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery in Abbeville. Fr. William Blanda will celebrate the funeral mass and conduct the graveside services.
Mrs. Allain is a graduate of SLI (ULL) of Lafayette, she taught first grade for a year then went on to teach third grade for 34 years at Eaton Park Elementary and retired after 35 years in 1975. She was a member of the Lay Carmelites.
She is survived by her loving husband, Earl W. Allain of Abbeville; one son, Dr. Joseph M. Allain of Abbeville; and a brother, Felix A. Landry Jr. and wife Marie of Baton Rouge.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Felix Landry Sr.; mother, Marguerite Ida Broussard; and a sister, Marguerite I. Landry.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m. and reopen at 8:00 a.m. until time of services Wednesday.
