A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 22, 2006, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, honoring the life of Glynn Richard Moreland, 81, who died Wednesday, December 20, 2006, at his residence in Abbeville.
Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Kevin Bordelon officiating and Reverend Donald Theriot concelebrating.
Pallbearers will be David Moreland, Bryce Moreland, Andy Sellers, Clay Noegel, Jake Carrier and Anthony Fontana.
Mr. Moreland is a retired postal worker with over 35 years of service. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII.
He is survived by one son, Todd E. Moreland and his wife Monique of Abbeville; three daughters, Glynda Bourgeois and her husband James of Houma, Joan Sellers and her husband Phillip of Abbeville, and Kay Moreland and partner Kim Olivera of Orlando, Florida; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Rita Hebert Moreland; father L.A. Moreland, mother, May Fleming Moreland; grandchild, Kennedi Moreland; two brothers, L.A. Moreland, Virgil Moreland, and one sister, Dorothy Couget.
The family request that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville, Thursday, December 21, 2006, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Friday, December 22, 2006, from 11 a.m. until time of service.
