Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2007 at Vincent Funeral Home honoring the life of Robert Wayne "Robe" Bares, Sr., 55, who died January 16, 2007 at Lafayette General Medical Center. He will be laid to rest at Greene Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Tim' Bares, Ronnie Vice, Sonny Broussard, Jessie Simon, Mark Cavalier and Michael Beard Richard. Honorary pallbearers will be William Montgomery and / Craig Touchet. He is survived by three sons, Robert Wayne "Rob" Bares, Jr. . Jonathan Bares and John Paul Bares all of Abbeville; one brother, Timothy Bares and his wife Michelle of Youngsville; and nieces and nephews, Nichole Bares, Samantha Bares and Ty Bares. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Gilbert Bares and the former Joyce LaPointe. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South St. Charles, Abbeville, Thursday, January 18th from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Friday, January 19th from 9:00 a.m. until time of services
