Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 03, 2007 at a 1:00 p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Lawrence "Pete" Bourgeois, Jr.,64, who died February 01, 2007 at his residence.
He will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend William Blanda officiating the services.
Lieutenant Pete was a retired deputy commander he had over 20 years with the Louisiana State Police, Troop B in New Orleans.
He is survived by one son, Jacques Bourgeois of Dallas; one daughter, Nicole Guidry of Abbeville; his mother, Velta Bourgeois of Abbeville; four brothers, Dr. Curtis Bourgeois, Jr. of Rocheport, Missouri, James Bourgeois of Houma, Paul Bourgeois of Houston, and Dr. Fred Bourgeois of Bedford, New Hampshire; one sister, Ann Bourgeois Pendergrass of Metairie; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Bourgeois, Sr.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South St. Charles, Abbeville, Friday, February 2nd from 1 :30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, February 3rd from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
