Frank William Bomersbach

December 3, 1932 — February 17, 2007

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at an 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Frank Bomersbach, 74, who died February 17, 2007 at the Heart Hospital of Lafayette.
He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery Mausoleum with the Rev. Joseph Stemmann officiating the services.
Frank never met a stranger; he touched and befriended many people with his smiling face and his gentle, giving spirit. Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who enjoyed life most when he was fishing, camping and especially dancing to Cajun music as a member of CFMA of Les Cadiens du Teche in New Iberia.
Frank served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. For nearly 40 years Frank worked for Trunkline Gas Company in Tennessee, Texas and Kaplan, Louisiana where he met and married the love of his life, Mary Joyce Mouton Hebert..
Frank is survived by his wife, Joyce Mouton Bomersbach, of Abbeville; 3 sons, Kevin J. Hebert and Magen of Delcambre; Duane Hebert and wife, Myra of Abbeville; and Neal S. Bomersbach and wife Christi of Abbeville; 3 Brothers, Leonard Bomersbach and wife, Lavonne of Victoria, TX.; Bob Bomersbach and wife Bernadine of Victoria, TX.; and Ray Bomersbach and wife, Eunice of San Antonio, TX.; a sister, Eleanor B. Ewy of Newton, Kansas; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Frank Bomersbach; his mother, Lillie Smiga Bomersbach, a brother, Dan Bomersbach and a sister, Alice Welsby.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Ray, Bob, and Byron Bomersbach, Sandy Guidry, Leslie Smolik and Linus Trahan. Honorary pallbearers will be Leonard Bomersbach, Adra Manceaux, and Nelton Gaspard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Monday, Feb. 19, 2007 from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 pm.; Tuesday Feb. 20, 2007 from 8:00 am until service time.
Frank’s family is grateful to all the doctors, nurse and staff at the Heart Hospital of Lafayette who gave Frank special care and treatment.
