Funeral services will be held Friday, March 09, 2007 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Theresa Catholic Church honoring the life of Charles "Pop" Cannella, Sr., 90, who died March 04, 2007 at Southwest Medica! Center. He will be laid to rest in St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services. He is survived by one son, Charles V. Cannella, Jr. and his wife Jane; one daughter, Deborah Grubbs and her husband Pete; one sister, Angela Jones of New Orleans; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip Vincent Cannella and the former Ignazia LaRussa; ,his wife, Helen Montagne Cannella; one brother, Frank Cannella; and three sisters, Mary Moliere, Rosey Gosland and Josephine Grafe. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South St. Charles, Abbeville, Thursday, March 8th from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Friday, March 9th from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
