Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at a 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Church honoring the life of Bernice Durr Lefort, 74, who died March 11, 2007 at Opelousas General Hospital. She will be laid to rest in St. James Cemetery with Father Mathew Mullamangalam officiating the services. She is survived by three sons, Kelvin White of Opelousas, Kenwood White and his wife Jeanette of Erath and Kerry White and his wife Denise of Abbeville; one daughter, Karen Touchet and her husband Michael of Opelousas; two step sons, Randy Lefort and his wife Anita of Georgia and Ricky Lefort of Golden Meadow; one step daughter, Bobbie Danos and her husband Russell of Larose; one brother, Norwood Durr of Erath; nineteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy Lefort; her parents, Albert Durr and the former Aline Trahan; one daughter, Katherine White; four brothers; and two sisters. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South St. Charles, Abbeville, Monday, March 12th from 12:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Tuesday, March 13th from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
