Adam "Tom-Tom" Thomas Touchet

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Adam Thomas “Tom-Tom” Touchet, 73, who died Saturday, October 26, 2019 at his residence.  He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.

“Tom-Tom” was a loving caring husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.  He loved to play pool, listen to music, and mow grass.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Touchet of Kaplan; his five daughters, Cecilia Touchet and her companion, Troy of Abbeville, Amay Dumenil and her husband, Joey of Kaplan, Connie Tabor and her husband, Stanley of Plaucheville, Tommy Sue Istre and her husband, Cody of Kaplan, and Adella and her husband, "Lil" Huey Istre, Jr. of Kaplan; his son, Lonnie Abshire and his fianceé, Rachel of Montgomery; his two brothers, Amos and Billy Touchet of Kaplan; 19 grandchildren, Shandi and her husband, Micheal, Justin, Jesse and his wife, Ciana Noelle, Kalen and her husband, Brett, Corey, Ashlyn, Courtney and her fiancé Hunter, Tyler and his companion, Tori, Zackery, Alex, Dakota, Kristin, Maria, Jayden, Chloe, Millicent, Drake, Autumn, and Kayden; and eight great grandchildren, Savannah, Grayson, Taylor, Charlie, Camille, R.J., Jenna, and Violet.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adian Touchet and the former Marie Bernice Touchet; his grandparents, Adam Touchet and the former Adella Suire; his grandson, Ryan Dawson; four brothers; and one sister.

The family would like to thank his caregivers, Penny, Brian, Angel, and Onyx Mayeux,  and Heart of  Hospice.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Monday, October 28, 2019 from 8:00 AM until 10:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Tuesday, October 29, 2019 from 8:00 AM until the time of services at 2:00 PM.
