Alton "Neg" Leblanc

Kaplan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 21, 2020 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Alton Paul LeBlanc, 93, who died Monday, August 17, 2020 at Kaplan Healthcare Center.  He will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Shane Roche, Seth Prejean, Luke Trahan, Andrew Trahan, Chad LeMaire, and Todd Sharkey.

He is survived by his four grandchildren, Shane Roche of Kaplan, Shannon Sharkey and her husband, Todd of Perkinston, Tanya Trahan and her husband, Shawn of Kaplan, and Seth Prejean and his companion, Britnie of Kaplan; his seven great grandchildren, Trinity Sharkey, Luke Trahan, Andrew Trahan, Sadie Sharkey, Savanna Sharkey, Paityn Martin, and Isabella Trahan; his sister, Virgie Broussard of Kaplan; and his two brothers, Melvin "Kie" LeBlanc of Kaplan and Henry LeBlanc of Forked Island.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtis Hebert LeBlanc; his two children, Jimmy LeBlanc and Deanna LeBlanc; one great grandchild, Tristan Sharkey; his parents, Armand LeBlanc and the former Lenora Sonnier; his two sisters, Venice Emerson and Margaret Morgan; and his three brothers, Joseph, Elredge, and Pierre LeBlanc.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Friday, August 21, 2020 from 9:00 AM until the procession departs for the church at 1:45 PM with a rosary being prayed at 11:00 AM.
