Alva Jane Richard

Gueydan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, August 20, 2018 at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Alva Jane Richard, 83, who died on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Gueydan Memorial Guest Home. She will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Corey Campeaux officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Pat Richard, Clinton Richard, Anthony Richard, David Richard, Eric Richard, and Russell Abshire.

She is survived by her three brothers, Eulan Richard and his wife, Ruby of Gueydan, Allen Richard and his wife, Theresa of Gueydan, and Roland Richard and his wife, Juanette of Gueydan; one sister-in-law, Mary Richard of Gueydan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emar Richard and the former Zeodie Hebert; one brother, Querie Richard; and one sister, Anna Mae Abshire.
