Alvin F. Broussard

Kaplan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Alvin F. Broussard, 87, who died Monday, January 25, 2021 at Acadia General Hospital.  He will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Winnie B. Broussard of Kaplan; his two sons, Carlton Broussard and his wife, Dianna of Meaux and David Broussard of  Lawrenceville, GA; his daughter, Angela Sweet of Naples, FL; his five grandchildren, Jacque Broussard, Brennan Sweet, Landon Sweet, Katrina Broussard, and Garrett Broussard; his four great grandchildren, Carter Broussard, Kenzie Broussard, and Alie and Aubrey Boutte; his two sisters, Delta Touchet and Janelle Meaux and her husband, Dunice of Meaux; and his brother, Presley Broussard and his wife, Annabelle of Meaux.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Effie Broussard; six siblings, Loland Broussard, Rosa Broussard Hartman, Pervis Broussard, Dunice Broussard, Kenneth Broussard, and Ella Harrington.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 600 N. Church Avenue, on Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the time of the services at 2:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 11:00 AM.
