Alyce Courtney Guidry Coppinger

Abbeville—Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, January  3, 2022 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Alyce Courtney Guidry Coppinger, 68, who died Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Abbeville General Hospital.  She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend Louis J. Richard officiating the services.

Alyce’s life was centered around family, friends and various stray animals.  She was a profound giver, always willing to help when she could.  She deeply loved her niece, Carmen and her nephews, Marcus and Zack.  Alyce was an organ donor and is still giving.

She is survived by her siblings, William W. "Toddy" Guidry III of Lafayette, and Marcus Guidry (Jill) of Lafayette, and Marcelle Guidry of Abbeville; nephews, Marcus Guidry Jr., and Zachary Guidry; and niece, Carmen Guidry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William W. "Bill" Guidry, Jr. and the former Florence Broussard; and sister-in-law, Chris S. Guidry.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 300 Pere Megret St., Abbeville, on Monday, January  3, 2022 from 10:00 AM until time of services. A rosary is being prayed at 11:00 AM.
