Abbeville--A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Vincent Funeral Home – Abbeville honoring the life of An Van Thai, 62, who died Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Amelia Manor Nursing Home.

Mr. Thai was born on October 1, 1955 in Hoi An, Vietnam. As a young adult, he worked on airplanes during the Vietnam War; he moved to the United States over 40 years ago, where he later met and married his beloved wife, Lien Tu Thai, on September 26, 1987.

He was employed as a mechanic for Bay City Ford in Abbeville, Louisiana for almost 30 years and enjoyed gardening, singing, and projects at home in his spare time.

He is survived by his wife; only daughter, Robin Hayes; sister, Hoa Thi Thai; brother, Binh Thai; brother, Minh Van Thai; brother, Hung Van Thai; mother, Dao Thi Le; and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Nhi Thai.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
