Asa "Red" Desormeaux

Kaplan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January  6, 2021 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Asa "Red” Desormeaux, 87, who died Sunday, January 3, 2021 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Cossinade Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.

He is survived by his five stepchildren, Trenda Badeaux and her companion, Donna Thibodeaux of Kaplan, Oladee Badeaux and her husband, Bryon of Belle Chase, Cagal Badeaux of Kaplan, Cornel Badeaux of Belle Chase, and Blair Menard of New Iberia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Asa Desormeaux and the former Ena Mae Belle; his companion, Jane Badeaux; his stepchildren, Donna Johnson and Kerry Strawn; and his step grandsons, Brett Castille and Martin Daniel Johnson III.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Wednesday, January  6, 2021 from 9:00 AM until the procession departs for the church at 12:45 PM.
