Barbara Gayle Guttry

Kaplan - A Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Reverend Mark Miley will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Barbara "Gayle" Guttry, 68, who passed away on April 25, 2025, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.

A visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan on Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and will continue Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM when the procession will depart for the church. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. Burial will follow at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Billy Guttry; one son, Jacob Guttry and his wife, Gloria of Abbeville; one daughter, Melissa Anne G. Dugas and her husband, David of Lafayette; two sisters, Janet Touchet and her husband, Rodney of Erath and Judy Owens and her husband, Scott of Kaplan; two brothers, Larry Primeaux and his wife, Laura of Kaplan and Kenneth Primeaux of Kaplan; one sister-in-law, Jennifer Primeaux of Kaplan; eight grandchildren, Alicia, Nicolas, Noah, Alexander, Mason, Cheyanne, Londyn, and Paris; four great grandchildren, Ellie Lou, Leo, Theodore, Greyson, and future great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Huey Paul Primeaux and the former Rose Marie Richard; one sister, Joycelyn Primeaux; one brother, Michael Primeaux and a sister-in-law, Darlene Primeaux.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Guttry, David Dugas, Nicolas Guttry, Noah Guttry, Alexander Guttry, and Mason Dugas.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Leo Paul Guttry, Theodore Guttry, and Greyson Guttry.
