Barbara Mae Duke Weidert
June 9, 1925 — November 10, 2018
She will be laid to rest at The Masonic Cemetery in New Orleans at a later date.
Mrs. Weidert was born in York, Maine. She lived and went to school in Portsmouth, NH and New Orleans, LA. After completing school she worked in the drafting department at Higgins ship builders in New Orleans where they built and tested the PT boats used in the war.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Charlene Weidert of Abbeville; and grandson, Jody Lee Welch of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Daniel Weidert; and parents, Harold H. Duke, and the former Anna Mae Jones.
