Bernard Ben Abshire

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September  1, 2020 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Bernard Ray Abshire, 89, who died Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at his residence.  He will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Pastor Lane Payne officiating the services.

Bernard is survived by his two sons, David W. Abshire, Sr. and his wife, Karen, and Eugene "Tony" Abshire and his wife, Vicky; daughter, Katherine A. Richard; nine grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; two brothers, L.J. Abshire and Norman Abshire; and two sisters, Anna Lou Pierce and Linda A. LeBlanc.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Odea Abshire; brothers, Odea Abshire, Jr., Eugene, Jimmy, Richard, Nolan, Lloyd, Roger Dale "Poncho" Abshire; and sisters, Agnes Viator and Mar Falcon.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Tuesday, September  1, 2020 from 9:00 AM until time of services.
