Bertha "Jean" Istre Angelle

Indian Bayou—Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August  3, 2020 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Bertha Istre Angelle, 78, who died Thursday, July 30, 2020 at St Martin Hospital.  She will be laid to rest at Abshire Cemetery with Reverend Johnathan Janise officiating the services. Serving as pallbearer will be Colton Foster, Landon Stelly, Jason Knott, Delfred Harrington, Johnny Angelle, and Eldridge “Eek” Foreman.

She enjoyed cooking and dancing, but most of all spending time with her family. She also took pride in caring for the elderly, which she did for many years.

She is survived by her husband of four years, Grover Angelle; her son, Kimball Foster and his wife, Kasa of Hutto, TX; her three daughters, Jessica Foster of Indian Bayou, Charisse and her husband, Warren Rost of Maurice, and Sherry Trahan of Indian Bayou; her daughter-in-law, Margaret Foster of Houston, TX; her step sons, Aaron Knott, Jason Knott, John Angelle, and Grover James Angelle; her step daughters, Bonnie Angelle, Tina McKnight, Mary Landry, and Vickie Angelle Courville; her sister, Barbara Bergeron of Mire; her brother, David Mire and his wife, Renee of Lafayette; her 11 grandchildren; her 16 great grandchildren; her 26 step grandchildren; and her 16 step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex Istre and the former Camilia Abshire; her son, Lafraye Foster; her daughter, Patsy Dugas; and her step son, Marcel Knott.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Sunday, August  2, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM; Monday, August  3, 2020 from 8:00 AM until the services at 11:00 AM.
