Abbeville—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Betty LeBlanc Choate, 79, who died Friday, May 25, 2018 at her residence.
She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Louis Richard officiating the services.
Betty is survived by her son, Kenneth Choate and his wife, Tammy of Abbeville; two daughters, Christine Choate and Jennifer L. Choate, both of Abbeville; two grandchildren, Shannon Boitnott and her husband, Daniel, and Nicholas Choate and wife, Natalia; four great grandchildren, Lahra and Paul Boitnott and Nicolas and Lucia Choate; brother, Dale LeBlanc; four sisters, Shirley Huckaby, Marlene Broussard, Judy LeBlanc and Jackie LeBlanc; and sister-in-law, Edna Bernard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lenwood P. Choate; and parents, Assay LeBlanc and the former Eula Mailhes.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Monday, May 28, 2018 from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 PM; Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 8:00 AM until 9:45 AM when the procession will depart for the church.
The family wishes to sincerely thank her caregiver, Chelsie Bouillion who tended to our mother with such attention and compassion, and Hospice of Acadiana for the wonderful care and support given, especially thanking Robin and Whitney.
