Betty Johnson Vincent

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 09:30AM on Thursday, March 03, 2022 at Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan, honoring the life of Betty J. Vincent, 73, who died Friday, February 25, 2022 at her residence.  She will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia, MS with Dale LaFleur officiating the services.  Serving as pallbearers will be Joey Mendoza, Scottie Meaux, Tanner Nix, Bobby Mauffray, Trey Pennell and Will Pennell. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Nathan Hebert, Tiger Houffpauir and Bo Jack Walker.

She is survived by her soul mate of 41 years, Hilton “Shorty” Broussard; her daughter, Tonya Kay Vincent; her sister, Barbara Reeves; her sister-in-law , Carolyn Anderson and her husband Dave; her nieces, Renee Pennell and her husband Trey, Marla Mauffray and her husband Bobby, and Melanie Meaux and her husband Scottie; her great nieces, Katie Pennell, Kimber Pennell, Emma Mauffray, and Ryann Mauffray; her great nephews, Will Pennell, Markham Mauffray, Tanner Nix, and Jacob Darby; and her best friend, Felicia Harris.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.T. and Mildred Johnson; her grandmother, Ilene P. Coon; her brother, Oscar “Buddy” Lavelle Johnson; her nephew, Travis Darby; and her great niece, Brittlyn Shae Darby.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Wednesday, March 02, 2022 from 04:00 PM until 09:00 PM; Thursday, March 03, 2022 from 8:00 AM until the time of the services at 09:30AM.
